October 2001
Meeting: Organise Guy Fawkes Fireworks.
Outing: Pizza Hut, followed by "Lord of the Rings" at Linwood (second time round for some of us)
Speaker: "Policing in Bosnia" - Interesting talk on the realities of working in a post-war Bosnia.

November 2001
Event: We run the £3,000 Bonfire & Fireworks for the town. Hard work, but rewarding.
Speaker: David Ramsey - "The Men's Movement" - an antidote to Womans Lib ?
Outing: Ten-pin bowling against Stewarton Round Table at Saltcoats, followed by a curry.
Social: Games Night at Ken & Julie's. Boys v Girls. Boys won. Finished at 4am !

December 2001
Speaker: Mark Gosling - "Starting a Business" - Mark put us all off the idea of ever going it alone.
Event: We run Santa's Grotto in Woolies. 200+ kids in 2 hrs. We take turns at being you-know-who.
Social: Xmas Party - this year we shared the party with Largs Playgroup in the Brisbane House Hotel.
Social: Kids Xmas Party - we take all our kids to the bowling or similar attraction for the day.
Outing: Tennent's Brewery Visit - purely educational - great night if you've not tried it !
Social: Surprise 40th party for Chairman at his house (on Xmas Eve !!)

January 2002
Social: New Year Party and Mark & Dot's. Food, drink, food, drink, and Karaoke.
Meeting: "Hair o' the dug" - too soon after the bells to do much else.
Speaker: Largs Beachwatch - the whole messy story from the clean water campaigners in Largs.

February 2002
Social: Area Ball at Dumfries - Weekend away from the kids for those who can afford it.
Social: Burns Supper at Andy & Lee's. Lot's of food, drink and Burns type stuff. Very casual !

March 2002
Social: Safari Supper at Richard & Suzie's - Everyone brings a dish to this themed night.
Outing: The Stand Comedy Club, Glasgow - Fred McCauley compairing. Brilliant !!!
Outing: Go Karting against Stewarton Round Table at Kilmarnock, followed by a curry. (they won)
April 2002
Social: Area Dinner at Cumnock. Great night - like a sportsmans dinner, but better.
Meeting: Largs Round Table AGM. Swap round titles, and set up the calendar for the next 12 months.
Social: Curry Frenzy at Hugh & Hazel's - do I need to explain ??

May 2002
Social: Family Picnic (& BBQ) at Kelburn.
Speaker: Willie McIntyre on "Laurel & Hardy". A complete history of the comic pair. Great speaker.
Outing: Laserquest, Glasgow. Blowing lumps out of each other, followed by (another) curry.
Speaker: Scott Crossett - Environmental Management - an excellent talk from Scott, who's now an MBE.

June 2002
Speaker: MSP Allan Wilson - dishing the dirt on European politics, not that there was any apparently.
Social: Dad's & Weans Camping, Dumfries - a weekend away from the wives. Very relaxing - honest !
Meeting: Putting competition at Barrfields followed by a curry. Rain usually cuts it to only a curry !
Event: Charity Duck Race on Gogo Burn. Raised £800 for Children's Hospice Association Scotland.
Social: Dad's & Kids at Ken's - World Cup Final - followed by Star Wars Episode 1 on DVD.
